A Therapeutic Community
It is the right of every resident to have their voices heard in a safe environment among their peers. The Resident Council at Belmont Crossing is this platform. Resident Council is a time for residents to express themselves freely and openly about any issues or challenges that have arisen throughout the month. Council meetings are held the last Thursday of every month. Every resident has the right, and is encouraged, to attend and contribute their suggestions and recommendations.
NAMI & Moving On
Belmont Crossing has a close relationship with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Moving On program funded through the Williams Consent Decree. A NAMI representative visits the facility at least twice a month to discuss ways in which residents can reintegrate into the community once they feel ready.
